Lake Worth man hits for $500K on scratch-off

Haitham Hussein, 42, of Lake Worth, claimed a $500,000 prize in the 20X The Cash Scratch-Off game at Florida Lottery headquarters in Tallahassee.

Hussein purchased his winning ticket from One Stop Checks and Phones, located at 7459 S. Military Trail in Lake Worth.

  Meanwhile, Sheila Green, 62, of St. Petersburg, claimed a $1 million prize in the 100X THE CASH Scratch-Off game. Green chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $693,180.05. She purchased her winning ticket at Downtown Food Mart, located at 212 Ninth Street North in St. Petersburg.

Earlier this month, the Florida Lottery launched 5X THE CASH, 10X THE CASH, 20X THE CASH and 50X THE CASH Scratch-Off games to join its most popular multiplier-themed game, 100X THE CASH. The family of scratch-off games ranges from $1 to $25.
