Magic City re-creates '70s open house party

Remember those open-house dance parties of the 1970s?

Nope, neither do I. But it's all good...

Anyway, Magic City Casino is bringing in Peter Fernandez (pictured) & The Open House Band to "re-create the festive atmosphere of a 1970’s Open House party." They're also including entertainer Peter Fernandez, "who is considered to be the voice of the 1970’s in Miami," the press release said. And he well might be... He also is the former lead singer of Coke and The Antiques.

Also booked: Carlos DJ Sonic and a light show by Joe Electro, who will be honored with an official City of Miami Salute for his contributions as a stage lighting pioneer.

It's at 10 p.m. Saturday at Stage 305 at Magic City Casino, 450 NW 37th Ave, Miami. Admission is free, limited VIP tables are at 305-649-3000, ext. 3429. Must be 21. Go to
