Four $1M Powerball winners in Florida, including one in Fort Lauderdale

Wednesday night's $448.4 million Powerball jackpot spread its wealth into Florida,  awarding four players with $1 million each.

The  winning Quick Pick tickets were sold at: 7-Eleven, 51 Harbor Drive in Key Biscayne; Circle K, 4500 East Olive Road in Pensacola; Publix, 4320 Deerwood Lake Parkway in Jacksonville; and 7-Eleven,1529 E. Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale. That's just down the street from the Sun-Sentinel main office; should I be nice to every co-worker today?

The winning numbers from the Powerball draw were 05-25-30-58-59, and the Powerball was 32. So each player hit all the white balls but missed on the red Powerball.

The quote from the lottery press release: “Once again, Florida proves it’s the place to be for winning moments,” said Secretary Cynthia O’Connell.  “And, the fun continues; Florida currently boasts the highest state lotto jackpot in the nation at $49 million.”

National Powerball drawings and Florida Lotto drawings are broadcast live from the Florida Lottery’s  draw studio in Tallahassee at 10:59 p.m. and 11:15 p.m. Eastern Time on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
