Seminole Hard Rock adds Asian restaurant

 The Bol, which the Seminoles call "a new authentic Asian cuisine restaurant experience," is now open at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.

Owned by The Seminole Tribe of Florida, the 51-seat restaurant, located near the resort’s main entrance in the space formerly occupied by Chopeke Cheke (The Seminole Store), will serve freshly prepared authentic Chinese and Vietnamese lunch and dinner selections in a warm and inviting ambiance, according to a press release.

 “We designed The Bol to give our guests an intimate dining experience that offers fresh and authentic flavors of Vietnam and China,” explained Eric Douglas, operating partner of The BOL along with Chris Osceola, Hollywood representative for Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Board of Directors, via a press release. "We anticipate The Bol will be a favorite among players of all cultures, and will complement the total gaming experience.”

 My thought is that it's a good addition, especially because the Asian market is among those most coveted in the gambling business, and that pai gow table at the front always has a crowd. But even if you put that aside, I could see visitors of all types enjoying a meal there. People just like food.

 The release continued that the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino’s newest restaurant entry will be presided over by Chinese Executive Chef Albert Yip and Vietnamese Executive Chef Jacky Truong. Menu selections prepared made-to-order are presented in English, Chinese and Vietnamese. Appetizers (from $5 to $9) include traditional Chinese Egg Rolls, Vietnamese Spring and Summer Rolls, Shrimp Dumplings and Pork Shaomai. B¿l selections ($13 to $15) include Pho Noodle Soup, Hong King-style Wonton Noodle Soup, Eye Round Rare Steak cooked in a variety of styles and Chef Truong’s signature dish, Thick Rice Vermicelli with Beef Hue Style. Wok selections ($14 to $16) include Ma Po Tofu, Kung Pao Chicken, General Tso’s Chicken, Fresh Clams with Black Bean Sauce and Chef Yip’s signature Salt and Pepper Shrimp or Squid.

 Guests may also select classic noodle dishes ($14 to $23) including Singapore Mai Fun, Pad Thai and Beef Chow Fun, a variety of specially prepared fried rice dishes ($15 to $17) and fresh vegetables including bok choy and broccoli. In addition to American beverages, The Bol will offer iced Vietnamese coffee, Thai tea, coconut juice (all $3 each) and a selection of beer and wine (prices vary).

The Bol hosts walk-ins only and its continuous table service is open for lunch and dinner Sunday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. – 1 a.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. – 3 a.m.
