The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino poker room is muscling up its deep-stack offerings, with a series set for next month and a regular tournament on Monday holidays.
"We’re trying to do more for the poker players this helps introduced them to a different type of tournament," said Ray Stefanelli, Seminole Gaming director of poker marketing. "This is our way to provide that offering to them."
The second annual Deep Stack Poker series kicks off May 15-18 with a $350 buy-in $150,000 guaranteed prize pool. Players start with 30,000 in chips.
Event 3 carries a $175,000 guarantee for $560 and a 40,000 chip stack.
The championship event is May 22-25 with a $300K guarantee for a $1,650 buy-in and 50,000 chips. That's going to be a lot of poker.
Meanwhile, Stefanelli said the Seminole Hard Rock will have a $250 deep stack event each Monday holiday (such as Memorial Day, M.L. King Day and Presidents' Day) for those who really want to sit down and play poker. Each will carry a $30K guarantee and players start with 20,000 chips.
"They know on the holiday what to expect," Stefanelli said. "It’s a one-day tournament with a great structure."
