Evoque at Coconut Creek

With a bit of drama, Seminole Casino Coconut Creek (5550 NW 40th St., 954-977-6700, will give away a Range Rover Evoque at 9 tonight. Five players every 45 minutes will be given the chance to select a puzzle piece representing the Evoque. After all 25 pieces have been claimed, they will be turned over to reveal prizes, which range from $500 in free play to the Range Rover.

The Coasters have been around since 1955. Well, the music and the name have been, and hits such as "Yakety Yak" and "Charlie Brown" reached the airwaves not soon afterward. At 8 p.m. Friday, the latest incarnation of the group will play an outdoor concert at the Isle Casino and Racing (1800 SW Third St., Pompano Beach, 954-972-2000, Tickets cost $20 via 1-800-514-3849.

Magic City Casino (450 NW 37th Ave., Miami) will host a free concert starring new wave group the Romantics at 8 p.m. Saturday. Hits include "What I Like About You" and "Talking in Your Sleep." Admission is free and open to all ages. VIP tables are available and can be reserved at 305-460-6579 or

Gulfstream Park Racing and Casino (901 S. Federal Highway, Hallandale Beach, 954-454-7000, is making Sunday middays a good time to win loot. The casino gives away $200 every 20 minutes from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with a $2,000 prize at noon. Slot players who earn 25 points on drawing days get another entry.

Mardi Gras Casino (831 N. Federal Highway, Hallandale Beach, 954-924-3200, gives away $500 cash every Monday night via a drawing. Casino officials pick an NBA or NCAA basketball game taking place that evening and pass out raffle tickets. If your entry is drawn from the winning team's barrel, you win the money.

Dania Casino and Jai-Alai (301 E. Dania Beach Blvd., 954-927-2841, opened in February, and the promotions are ramping up. The big prize is a 2014 C250 Mercedes-Benz, to be given away on April 2. Every Sunday to Wednesday during March, players receive a voucher for every 200 points earned. Players then enter the voucher(s) in the raffle drum. Every hour from 2 to 8 p.m., a drawing is held for 200 Dania Dollars, with a total of seven winners daily. Participants must be present to win. These winners will automatically be entered in the final drawing for the Mercedes.

At 7 p.m. April 2, five entries will be drawn, and one person will be selected to receive the car. The four runners-up will receive $500 Dania Dollars each. A bonus drawing will be held at 8 p.m., and 10 participants will win $500 Dania Dollars.
