Mardi Gras Casino hosts Beerfest Saturday

Mardis Gras Casino has jumped on the beer bandwagon with what it’s calling the 1st annual Homebrew Beer Competition 2-6 p.m. Saturday.

A $15 entrance fee gets you a sampling cup and a pretzel necklace. You then get to sample more than 30 beers from local home brewers. The favorite will be crowned Best Home Brewer.

Live music and barbecue will also be featured at the competition.
