Studz Poker Club at Calder Casino & Race Course has announced a partnership with the Players Poker Championship (PPC Poker Tour) to host the Studz Summer Splash, a $100,000 guaranteed tournament at Studz Poker Club Aug. 1-4.
"We’re excited to partner with the PPC and to host one of the largest events in our room’s history,” said Chris Trabue, Director of Poker for Studz Poker Club. “We hope to make this the first of many larger tournaments at Studz.”
The PPC Studz Summer Splash is a $100,000 guaranteed, $150 buy-in tournament that will run Thursday through Aug. 4. Players can buy in to any of the six Day One sessions that will be held at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. The fields combine on Aug. 4 to compete for a minimum prize pool of $100,000. Players may buy-in to multiple Day One sessions and will take their largest chip stack with them to day 2. Buy-in is $150.
"The PPC Studz Summer Splash offers an incredibly affordable buy-in for a robust guarantee,” said Sandy Swartzbaugh, Commissioner for the PPC. “Not to mention, the room is one of the nicest in the country."
