It’s been awhile since his name has been on any Top 40 charts, so here’s a refresher on Christopher Cross:
A) He had nothing to do with Kris Kross, the rap duo who wore their clothes backward and sang “Jump.”
B) He had hits from 1979 to 1981 with “Sailing,” “Ride Like the Wind” and “Arthur’s Theme,” from the Dudley Moore version of the film “Arthur.”
C) He won five Grammys for the album with those hits and an Oscar for best original song.
Cross will perform 8 p.m. Friday at Isle Casino and Racing in Pompano Beach. Tickets cost $25.
The casino is at 1800 SW Third St. Call 954-972-2000 or go to Pompano-Park.IsleofCapriCasinos.com.
