Coco Goes Pink campaign raises more than $15K

Somebody walked out of Seminole Casino Coconut Creek with a huge check (literally and figuratively) and they didn't even wager a dime.

Gilda's Club representatives Kim Kohl (left) and Shelley Goren (right) -- flanked by Coconut Creek President Steve Bonner -- snagged a check for more than $15,000 to Gilda’s Club South Florida.

The money was raised via the casino’s “Coco Goes Pink” effort in October.

The casino collected the cash funds through special “Coco Goes Pink” merchandise sales as well as with food and beverage sales during October, which is breast cancer awareness month.

Additionally, Bonner led a team of 300 employees in the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk in Boca Raton.

After the number of employee registrants for the walk rose above 300, Bonner made good on a promise to dye his hair pink.
