Coconut Creek to demonstrate 'Quadski'

If you don't know what a quadski is, you have plenty of company. But it's a prize on Monday at  Seminole Casino Coconut Creek.

So the casino will give a free demonstration of the GIBBS Quadski, the amphibious personal watercraft, at 10 a.m. Thursday at the lake in front of the casino.

“We look forward to showcasing the incredible technology of the Quadski to our players and the public,” said Steve Bonner, president of Seminole Casino Coconut Creek, via a press release. “We are thrilled to offer this first-time giveaway to our players. It’s a wonderful vehicle to have on land or sea.”

The Quadski has a BMW-supplied four-cylinder engine,  all-terrain tires and reaches speeds of 45 mph on both water and land. It transitions between them in seconds at the press of a button, either deploying the wheels or retracting them, the press release said.

The grand prize winner will win the Quadski. Second through eighth place will win Free Play ranging from $750-$1500. Ninth through 100th place will win between $200 and $500 in Free Play. To participate must be at least 21 years old and a Seminole Player’s Club member.
