Dania Jai-Alai has added an "easy beat" payout, adjusted its tournament schedule and has a special tournament set for Thanksgiving eve.
Poker director Frank Famiano said the room now offers a payout when players lose a hand that has much more probable odds of most casinos' bad beat jackpot. Dania pays $300 to a player who has a full house (even with only one card in hand) beaten by four of a kind (also with one card). The hand winner gets $150; everyone else at the table gets $50.
The card room's $10 tournament still runs at 1 p.m. Monday through Saturday and at 6:30 p.m. Saturday through Thursday. It's averaging about 80 players and carries a $500 during the day, $1,500 at night.
The free roll is at 1 p.m. Sunday and carries a $500 guarantee.
The card room also has a daily high hand: It's $500 with $50 rollovers each hour and begins at noon. (To qualify, it's aces full of 10s with one card in hand.)
Famiano also said that if players come in between noon and 5 and play for an hour, "you get lunch on us."
The Thanksgiving Eve tournament Wednesday starts at 6:30 p.m. and costs $40 for 3,000 chips. Rebuys are $20 for 2,000 chips.
And Fridays, still Dania's best event, are averaging about 100 players; $105 gets 9,000 chips and a $10 add-on nets another $2,000. The tourney has an $8,500 guarantee.
