The Jurassic Park slot machine created quite a buzz this fall at the Global Gaming Expo, and now two Seminole casinos are the nation's first to offer it to the public.
It's set to roll out Friday at Seminole Hard Rock Tampa and Seminole Coconut Creek, made by International Game Technology, based in Las Vegas.
The game has icons from the three movies, and includes film clips. The point to the game, of course, -- other than winning money -- is to avoid attacks from cloned dinosaurs.
Players in bonus rounds must choose a path for the vehicle to get out of the park safely.
"We try to find themes that have a pop culture appeal," IGT executive VP Eric Tom told Steve Bourie for AmericanCasinoGuide.com. This one can be played for as little as a penny, but Tom said he expects most players will invest 50 cents to $1.25 a push.
He says there will be a series of Jurassic Park games.
“We’re thrilled Seminole Casino Coconut Creek was selected to debut the Jurassic Park slot machines,” said Seminole Casino Coconut Creek’s President Steve Bonner. “Beyond the gaming side, I’m sure our players will enjoy these new machines given the popularity the movie still has after some 20 years.”
