Hit Men, Charger giveaway at Mardi Gras

Mardi Gras Casino has mapped out its year-end party, which features The Hit Men playing in the grandstand starting at 10:45 p.m. New Year's Eve.

The group consists of six former performers with Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons and Tommy James and the Shondells. Admission is free.

Lawvawn "The Saxman Extraordinaire," and the Ernie Coyota Garza band will also play in the casino, and Davis and Dow will play in The French Quarter Restaurant from 4-8 p.m.

The French Quarter's New Year's Eve buffet is $49.95 and runs from 5 p.m. to midnight. Giveaways include a holiday hotseat every 30 minutes from 1 to 9 p.m., paying out $250 in free play.

On Dec. 30, the casino gives away a Dodge Charger. Slot players must earn 75 base points from Dec. 25 to Dec. 30 to be eligible. Patrons don't have to be present to win, but if they are, they net $5,000 cash, too.
