Molly Hatchet, that Jacksonville group from 1975 with the Southern Rock/Southern Metal sound, plays at Casino Miami Jai-Alai at 9 p.m. Saturday.
Their biggest hit is "Flirtin’ With Disaster," from 1979. The Jai-Alai Arena has been customized to accommodate up to 2,000 fans, fulfilling a vision officials talked about when slots came to the casino a couple of years ago.
According to Casino Miami’s Director of Marketing Stephen Blank: “This iconic property has a unique history and tradition of providing top-notch entertainment to the Greater Miami area. Our Headliner Series is our way of beginning to build upon that tradition.”
Future Headliner concerts include the Guess Who in September and The Pointer Sisters in October. Tickets start at $10 and are available at www.ticketweb.com or at the Casino Miami box office.
