Powerball hits for $148.8M in Florida

Maybe those new I-595 Express Lanes led you to Naples in the past few days, and maybe you stopped in a convenience store and bought a Powerball ticket.

If you bought the right one, you won $148.8 million.

Powerball has hit again in Florida, this time in Naples. The winning numbers announced Wednesday night were 19-25-29-36-48, with a Powerball of 12. It was sold at E's Country Store North, 14344 Immokalee Road, Naples. It was a quick pick.

It is the eighth Powerball winner sold in Florida, the most in the nation.

Winners have 180 days to claim their tickets, and by law their names and hometowns are public record. So if you're a South Floridian, we'll find out, and I'll likely be calling you for a quote. (Most people decline, somewhat understandably.)
Powerball now resets at $40 million.

Powerball's main jackpot hadn't hit since March 22.

It's a nice payout but nowhere near the $590 million won last year by Gloria C. Mackenzie in Zephyrhills.

Meanwhile, the Florida Lotto rolled over to $38 million. The numbers were 13-22-23-35-39-48.
