Coconut Creek, others have weekend casino giveaways

The Martin Luther King Day holiday on Monday makes it a three-day weekend for some, and Seminole Casino Coconut Creek knows you have a dream. There’s a giveaway of up to $2,500 every two hours from 1 p.m. through 9 p.m. Saturday and Monday. On Sunday, 10 players will win $5,000 in cash or free play during the same time. There’s also a $25,000 Rise & Shine Slot Tournament from 9 a.m. to noon. The top 30 scores get paid, plus four last-chance winners receive $500 free play each at the casino (5550 NW 40th St., 954-977-6700, SeminoleCasinoCoconutCreek.com).
