WSOP resumes Monday

The World Series of Poker main event will resume 7:30 p.m. Monday, and for the first time in five years, no player with a South Florida connection made it to the final table. From 2008 to 2011, we were represented by David “Chino” Rheem, Kevin Schaffel, Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi and Badih “Bob” Bounahra.

The final nine will gather at the Rio All-Suites Hotel in Las Vegas and play down to three. Those players will then vie at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. The event is usually the first Tuesday in November, but this year, the elections got in the way.

The event will be covered on a 15-minute delay by ESPN2 on Monday and by ESPN on Tuesday. WSOP.com will stream the telecast both days.
