1. Refugee Reunion
A Milford man who was prevented from meeting his refugee family last week following Donald Trump's executive order was reunited with them Thursday night at JFK Airport. The Syrian family struggled through years of bureaucratic red tape and had their plight highlighted by Sen. Chris Murphy.
2. Prayer Breakfast
It didn't take long for Donald Trump to make headlines Thursday. This time, while speaking at the National Prayer Breakfast, he remarked about the supposed low ratings of the "Celebrity Apprentice."
3. Troubled Cities
On Thursday, Gov. Malloy proposed creating a statewide board to monitor the financial health of struggling cities and towns. In a press conference, he suggested that a system of intervention and support could prevent financial crises.
4. 50 Cent
The rapper, who is still trying to sell his Farmington mansion, had his bankruptcy case discharged Thursday. Bankruptcy Judge Ann Nevins approved the move after 50 Cent paid more than $22 million.
Another one? SyFy announced Thursday there will be a fifth "Sharknado" movie. The campy series will be bringing back stars Ian Ziering and Tara Reid, but it has yet to announce a title or release date.
