Clean and pure
The Pur Attitude Skin Essentials 3-Step System ($88 at PurAttitude.com)doesn't contain parabens, phthalates or other nasty ingredients. The Miami-Based company will donate 50 percent of net sales to the National Breast Cancer Foundation this month.
"None of my products use water in the ingredients, either. Instead, they contain hyaluronic acid, which is a better moisturizer," says David Pollock, a beauty expert, radio show host and chemist based in Plantation. It's great for those with oily skin, too. It's perfect for our South Florida climate.¿ (Courtesy)
Brides Against Breast Cancer is offering South Florida ladies a chance to save big on the dress of their dreams — and support a good cause, too.
The charity's "Nationwide Tour of Gowns" is stopping at the West Palm Beach Marriott, 1001 Okeechobee Blvd., on Jan. 26, inviting brides to shop designer dresses at deep discounts. Gowns, in sizes 4 to 18, will be $99 to $3,900.
Brides Against Breast Cancer, based in Sarasota, will donate $2 million from the tour to help those affected by cancer, including children's programs, support groups, and exercise and nutrition classes.
General admission to the main event, from 2 to 7 p.m., is $7. The VIP reception, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., requires a $45 tax-deductible donation.
