Brothers is the only new series, only series period, with a predominantly black cast on the broadcast networks this fall. This goes to show that you can find something positive to say about anything.
There is nothing else praise-worthy about the new Fox sitcom, the worst new series of the season.
Brothers breaks new comedic ground, presenting paralysis humor as a laugh riot. The effects of a possible stroke and possible onset of Alzheimer's also comes in for yucks.
Former football star Michael Strahan stretches to play former football star Michael Trainor, who returns home to help out at the family bar and restaurant. The business has been run by his brother Chill (Daryl Mitchell), who is in a wheelchair.
Their father is having frequent bouts of memory loss, leaving Mom as the rock of the family. Old pros Carl Weathers and CCH Pounder deserve better than being accessories to this mess as the parents.
At least Fox has scheduled Brothers correctly, burying it on Friday, a ratings cemetery.
