Pitbull to perform on Univision's New Year's Eve show in Miami

Pitbull will be ringing in 2018 on Univision.

Mr. Worldwide, whose televised New Year’s festivities had become a tradition for the past three years on Fox television, will perform on the Spanish-language network from Miami.

That show, called ¡Feliz 2018! (Happy 2018!)” will feature slices of “Pitbull’s Worldwide” party Dec. 31 at Bayfront Park, 301 Biscayne Blvd., according to Univision.

The Cuban-American entertainer’s VIP bash will include 15 food stations, treats from Sugar Factory, cocktails and a champagne toast.

Univision’s broadcast will also feature performances by musicians Carlos Vives, Bad Bunny and Olga Tañon and other artists from New York City, Disney California Adventure, Las Vegas, and San Antonio.

After three years in Miami, Fox officials decided to move their New Year’s celebration to Times Square and replaced Pitbull with comedian and talk show host Steve Harvey.

“Fox’s New Year’s Eve with Steve Harvey: Live From Times Square’’ will air from 8 to 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. through 12:30 a.m. on Fox affiliates WSVN-Ch. 7 in Fort Lauderdale-Miami and WFLX-Ch. 29 in West Palm Beach.

Univision’s broadcast launches at 9 p.m. Dec. 31 on WSCV-Ch. 23 in the Fort Lauderdale-Miami and West Palm Beach markets.
