Trace Adkins' deep baritone will come in handy for this one: The country singer will bring the Christmas Show Tour, described as "a reverent theatrical and musical production for the whole family," to Hard Rock Live in Hollywood Dec. 17. Tickets will go on sale 11 a.m. Friday.

Don't expect Adkins' usual country show. Instead of focusing on his hits (including "You're Gonna Miss This," "Ladies Love Country Boys," "Songs About Me" and "Every Light In The House), he will feature selections from his forthcoming album of Celtic carols, "The King's Gift."

The Christmas Show will be a theatrical production in which Adkins will tell personal and historical stories between performances of classic carols with a 12-piece ensemble. The tour is inspired by Adkins' annual hosting duties at Walt Disney World's Candlelight Processional, for which he has narrated Christmas stories backed by a full choir and orchestra.

For people who don't follow country music, Adkins is a good dude who has had plenty of success, selling more than 10 million albums. He is a spokesman for the Wounded Warrior Program and the American Red Cross, which received a $1.5 million donation earlier this year after he won NBC's "All-Star Celebrity Apprentice."
