Today, things are going to get a lot more colorful -- and loud -- at Sun Life Stadium when thousands of gallons of paint fly through the air, and some of today's hottest DJs take the stage.
DJs Calvin Harris, Steve Aoki, Major Lazer (featuring Diplo), R3hab and Chuckie are among the headliners at the Life in Color concert, an all-day festival that will also feature a live performance by rapper 2 Chainz.
Dubbed the "World's largest paint party," the festival is the brainchild of Miamian Sebastian Solano, Paul Campbell and twin brothers, Lukacz and Patryk Tracz. Solano's twin brother, EDM producer and DJ David Solano, is also among the talent.
Gates open at 2 p.m., but the real fun begins as the night progresses. "There will be a countdown two hours into the show and then custom-made paint cannons, that actually took five to six years to make, spray the crowds," Solano said. There will also be "Cirque Du Soleil" type performances, dancers, and of course, a light show.
In addition, there will be paint stations where fans can fill up on paint bottles throughout the show. Although Solano suggests you wear white, you don't have to worry about ruining your fancy club clothes. "The paint is water-based and washes off easily…people can even drink it, and it won't hurt them."
Life in Color starts at 2 p.m. Friday at Sun Life Stadium, 2269 NW 199th St., Miami Garden. Tickets start at $100. Go to Lifeincolor.com.
