Sometimes, they honor the badge by going above the call of duty to rid South Florida's streets of the bad guys. And sometimes they're accused of dishonoring the badge by being the bad guys (though juries don't always agree).

BSO Deputy Roger Hager
Deputy Roger Hager (Regional Traffic Unit) saved a woman from a vehicle that had crashed along Interstate 95 just south of State Road 84 on Feb. 12, 2012. Moments after the rescue, the vehicle burst into flames.
