Bob Barker Celebrates 90th Birthday

Bob Barker returns to "The Price Is Right" today to celebrate his 90th birthday.

But the party also allows him to share his most important message: help animals.

In a moving interview today on "CBS This Morning," Barker opened up about his animal advocacy, which was inspired by his late wife. They had no children, but they shared a devotion to protecting the animal population.

"I'll die broke," Barker said, happily.

"CBS This Morning" explained how Barker had fought against the fur industry. On the game show, which he hosted for 35 years, he advocated for spaying and neutering.

Barker retired six years ago from "The Price Is Right." The game show this week is honoring him with a week of pet adoptions.

Drew Carey now hosts "The Price Is Right" at 11 a.m. weekdays on WKMG-Channel 6. Carey carries on the spaying-and-neutering message.

On "The Late Late Show," Craig Ferguson recently offered a suggestion about how Barker should mark the return. "The great Bob Barker is going to actually appear on 'The Price Is Right' for his 90th birthday," Ferguson noted. "Bob said he's gonna do something that should've been done long ago: Spay and neuter Drew Carey."

Ferguson co-starred on Carey's ABC sitcom.
