The co-founder of the popular Italian restaurant chain Carrabba's was arrested twice in three days following two separate incidents at a Texas winery, the Houston Press is reporting.
On Thursday, police say 61-year-old Damian Mandola recklessly drove his golf cart to the Duchman Family Winery and tried to steal a bottle of wine. He was arrested and released from jail on bond later that night only to return to the winery Saturday with a knife and a hammer, the newspaper reports.
A winery employee told the Houston Press that Mandola damaged a sign, smashed the window of his Toyota Tacoma and made threats. Mandola was charged with assault with a deadly weapon and criminal mischief following Saturday's incident.
