A 62-year-old Texas man who was chaperoning his 18-year-old daughter on Spring Break died Wednesday after falling from a 12th floor balcony at a Panama City Beach hotel.
Thomas H. Saunders, 62, of Southlake, Texas, was chaperoning his daughter and a group of spring breakers staying at the Holiday Inn Resort, CBS affiliate KTVT-TV reports. Saunders reportedly fell Wednesday onto the hotel lobby's roof.
Saunders' daughter and her four friends were sleeping in the hotel room when he fell. Panama City Beach police are investigating and say they don't suspect foul play.
