Dad sends toddler son to school with heroin stuffed in his coat

A New Jersey man has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child after sending his 2-year-old son to daycare with 48 glassine envelopes of heroin stuffed in his jacket, New York Daily News reports

A worker at the daycare in Paterson, N.J., discovered the drugs and called police, who determined the boy's father, 27-year-old Phillip Young, dropped the toddler off that day.

Young is being held on $85,000 bail, authorities said. Police said that there is no indication that the boy was aware the drugs were in his jacket.
