A DeLand man threatened a teen with a gun after finding him in his stepdaughter's closet. The man then punished the stepdaughter by making her do squats and push ups as punishment.
The Daytona Beach News-Journal reports that Timothy Estes, 39, was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon along with child abuse for slapping his 14-year-old stepdaughter and forcing her to do the exercises.
Estes reportedly pulled a gun on the 16-year-old boy after finding him in the girl's bedroom closet. He then pressed the gun on the back of the boy's head as he escorted him out of the house.
The boy told police he was in the closet charging his cell phone.
After the boy was out of the house, he returned to the bedroom and slapped the girl, before ordering her to do squats and push ups, threatening to beat her if they were not perfect.
There has been a string similar incidents around the country.
