A 75-year-old Florida woman is recovering after she was attacked by a deer at the same Tampa-area animal sanctuary where a lion escaped earlier this month, according to WPTV.com.

Sylvia Fernandez was at the Survival Outreach Sanctuary on Friday when the buck pierced her eye, causing it to come out of its socket, according to the 911 call released by the Pasco County Sheriff's Office.

No information about what prompted the attack has been released at this time. However, a man who lives near the sanctuary told WTSP that he nearly shot the deer once after it exhibited aggressive behavior.

Fernandez's sister, Judy Watson, owns the sanctuary and is currently facing criminal charges after a 7-year-old lioness dug under her enclosure and escaped the sanctuary for several hours on Jan. 3.
