George Zimmerman has agreed to participate in a celebrity boxing match for charity.
Update: A representative for DMX's PR and Talent Agency says DMX has "promised to beat" George Zimmerman "but no contract or paperwork has been signed or agreed to yet. DMX will release an official statement if and when an agreement is made."
Out of the 15,000 people who inquired about fighting George Zimmerman in a celebrity boxing match, rapper DMX is the person Zimmerman wants to face in the ring, according to CNN.
The news of the proposed matchup was announced Wednesday, on what would have been the 19th birthday of Trayvon Martin, the teen Zimmerman was acquitted of killing last year.
Just days ago a promoter for the match told TMZ that Zimmerman had his eyes set on boxing Kanye West because he beats up "defenseless people."
But it seems that won't be the case.
DMX has been vocal about wanting to fight Zimmerman since the match was announced last month. At one point, he told TMZ that he'd like to urinate on Zimmerman's face in the name of "every black person who has been done wrong in the system."
The date, time and location of the match have not yet been announced. Seeing as the match is for charity, neither Zimmerman nor his opponent will receive any sort of monetary compensation.
