George Zimmerman says he is not haunted by the night he fatally shot Trayvon Martin.
Why not? He doesn't know, he tells CNN.
Zimmerman on Wednesday talked to Chris Cuomo of CNN's "New Day." The program, which starts at 6 a.m. weekdays, will share the main part of the interview Tuesday.
Zimmerman opened up about the trial, the issues and life since his acquittal, Cuomo said Friday on CNN.
"Are you a killer?" Cuomo asks in a preview clip.
"I have killed," Zimmerman replies.
"It's important to hear from the man at the center of it," Cuomo said on "New Day." "It was provocative. He gave us a lot of time. He wanted to deal with everything."
But Cuomo stressed that the interview wasn't about re-trying the case. "We have a verdict. We know what that is," the anchor said.
Cuomo also said that he asks why Zimmerman has been in the headlines since the verdict. "Has there been fame and fortune? Has he benefited?" Cuomo said in a preview. "What matters to him? Why is he still around?"
Zimmerman also has given an interview to Univision that will air at 6 p.m. Sunday and another to Fusion that will be shown at 8 p.m. Tuesday on "America With Jorge Ramos."
