Giraffe kisses terminally ill man.
A 54-year-old zoo worker with terminal cancer received his dying wish when he was “kissed” by a giraffe while on a visit to say goodbye to the animals at a zoo in the Netherlands, reports DutchNews. Check out the video on this story to see the moment.
The man, identified only as Mario, was wheeled around the Blijdorp zoo in Rotterdam in his hospital bed, thanks to the charity Ambulance Wish Foundation, which helps grant wishes for dying patients. While Mario was visiting the giraffes, one approached him and nuzzled him, the report said.
"It was a very special moment. You saw him smile," the foundation director Kees Veldboer said. "It was special that the animals knew him and could sense all was not well with him."
