A new app called Hula allows users to locate STD testing centers, get test results sent to their phone and even allows you to share your verified STD status with partners and potential partners.

There's thousands of apps out there for your smartphone and mobile devices, but a new app called "Hula" takes the "there's an app for that" slogan to a new level.

The app helps locate STD testing centers, get test results sent to your phone and even allows you to share your verified STD status.

Talk about a status update.

The test center locator uses GPS location tracking to find a center close to you. Once you've been tested, your provider will transmit your records into a secure Hula account. Then, you can share those results privately and securely however you like, according to the app's description on the Apple App Store.

The app is available for free on the Apple App Store and has mostly positive reviews, despite some controversy over the name "Hula," with some claiming that it is offensive to the Hawaiian culture.
