A Florida man accused of killing his parents and then throwing a party with the bodies still inside the house was sentenced to life in prison without parole.
A Florida man accused of killing his parents and then throwing a party with the bodies still inside the house received two life sentences without parole Thursday, according to the Florida-Times Union.
Tyler Hadley, of Fort Pierce, killed his parents, Mary Jo and Blake Hadley, in July 2011, authorities said. Then 17, Hadley spent three hours cleaning up the blood before throwing a house party for about 60 people.
Police said Hadley had used Facebook earlier that day to invite friends to the party, then murdered his parents using a hammer and left the bodies inside the master bedroom.
Hadley pleaded no contest to two counts of first-degree murder in February. Authorities said the the death penalty was not an option given Hadley's age at the time of the murders.
