Man from Washington state survives after getting sucked into wood chipper

A man from Washington state feels lucky to be alive after spending about 10 seconds in a wood chipper, according to KATU Channel 2 News.

Frank Arce, who works at a company that shreds bark, was trying to clear a jam when the machine started up with him inside.

Arce suffered a broken pelvis, shattered ankle, bruised liver, broken leg and a cut that runs the length of his body.

"I felt I had a lot of angels out there with me that day, a lot of people looking out for me," he said from his hospital bed.
