An obese man needed help getting out of his house after he fell and was trapped in Palm Springs.

Firefighters had to cut a hole in the side of a Florida man's house after the obese man fell, WPTV reports

The man, who authorities say is "several hundred pounds" overweight, fell Wednesday in his Palm Springs home and couldn't get back up.

When Palm Beach County Fire Rescue firefighters arrived on the scene, they had to call on the county's "Bariatric Unit," a special team that specifically deals with obese patients in trouble. The team is equipped with a truck that has a winch, a ramp and can move people who weigh up to 1,000 pounds.

The man weighs over 500 pounds, according to WPBF.
