WHAT: Universal Orlando kicks off its 25th Anniversary Concert Series this weekend with two performances by young singers. Saturday features Prince Royce and Sunday marks the Universal debut of Vine sensation Shawn Mendes ("Life of the Party," "Something Big"). Prince Royce ("Corazon sin Cara," "Los Cosas Pequenas") is just a year older than Universal Studios, where the concerts will be held, and Mendes was born in 1998, the year before Universal's Islands of Adventure opened. Future anniversary-concert performers will include Pitbull (May 30), Kellie Pickler (June 6), Huey Lewis and the News (June 13) and Goo Goo Dolls (June 20).
WHEN: Show time is 9 p.m. each night; park hours are 9 a.m. -10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday
WHERE: Intersection of Interstate 4 and Kirkman Road, southwest of Orlando
COST: Concerts are included in regular Studios admission; a one-day ticket is $102 ($97 for ages 3-9)
