An exhibition of life-size, moving dinosaurs, “Jurassic Quest Out of Extinction,” is coming to West Palm Beach next month.
Guests can experience what it is like to be among living, breathing dinosaurs of the Cretaceous, Jurassic and Triassic periods during the three-day event Aug. 10-12 at the Expo Center of the South Florida Fairgrounds.
More than 100 dinosaurs are featured at the event, from realistic baby dinosaurs to the Giginotosaurus, including walking dinosaurs, such as Dakotaraptors and the new walking Dilophosaurus.
The walking dinosaur rides include new, 24-foot Carnotaurus and T. rex dinosaurs, while little ones ages 5 and under can try out the dinosaur scooters.
Jurassic Quest has new activities on the tour, which has doubled in size from its last visit, according to a news release. There will be new fossil digs, fossil stations and a toddler petting zoo, as well as science stations, dinosaur bounce houses, bungee pulls, crafts, face painting, green-screen photos and dinosaur Jeopardy.
Hours are 3-8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Expo Center, 9067 Southern Blvd., West Palm Beach.
Regular kids and adult tickets, $20 each, include the dinosaur exhibit, dino tour, dino theater, science stations, dino crafts and dino coloring station, with additional activities priced at $5 each.
The $34 Kids VIP ticket also includes unlimited additional activities, including dinosaur rides, fossil digs, dino scooters (age 5 and under), inflatables and bungee pull.
Seniors 65 and older, military and active-duty police, firefighters and paramedics save $2 on each ticket. Get tickets and more information online at jurassicquest.com/westpalmbeach.
