Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza (multiple locations, ACFP.com) has beefed up its take-out menu.
Its Pot of Meatballs — 13 all-beef, three-ounce meatballs in sauce — is sold in a stainless steel pot that you take home and reheat on top of the stove. Just add a half cup of water.
They’re delicious directly from the pot, of course, but you can also serve them with pasta. Each $29.95 pot comes with a special card in the shape of a leaf. The paper is made with basil seeds that you can plant in the empty meatball pot. The result is basil plant for your own Italian cooking.
On April 7, the 45th Anthon’s opens in New Jersey. There are now 17 South Florida locations, with an 18th opening in South Beach in May.
