After what seems like a weeks-long soft opening, chef Allen Susser’s third Daily Melt location officially opens Tuesday downtown Fort Lauderdale (350 SE 2nd St, 954-713-6358, DailyMeltGrill.com).

April 1st also marks the beginning of National Grilled Cheese Month. Who does love a good grilled cheese sandwich?

At 1,669-squre-feet, it’s the largest Daily Melt location. Along with grilled cheese sandwiches of every stripe, this location features a lounge area with free WiFi and Chef Allen’s Gourmet Pickle Bar.

House-made pickles varieties include Sea salt dill, mojo, Lemon ginger, Hot & sassy, Kickin’ Asian and bread & butter. Just as chefs do with wine, Susser makes pairing recommendations for pickles and sandwiches.
