Beer dinner series at 5 Napkin Burger in South Beach

5 Napkin Burger’s Executive Chef Andy D’Amico will team up with brew masters from Florida Beer Company on the 16th and Holy Mackerel Beers on the 23d.
Dinners start at 7 p.m. with an informal meet and greet with the brewers and appetizers made with beer. A seated three-course dinner follows with each course paired with a different beer.
The first dinner features appetizers of pork taquitos, pickles & pastrami, lobster endive spears and spinach and artichoke crostini. Bacon, ale and gruyere soup is followed by an avocado ranch burger or veggie burger. Dessert is a porter granite with vanilla sabayon and shaved chocolate. Florida Beer Company will serve its Key West Sunset Wheat, Key West Sunset Ale, Florida Lager and Swamp Ape IPA.
For the second dinner, chef D’Amico will serve vegetable maki rolls, wasabi deviled eggs with sriracha, grilled chipotle shrimp and Hell’s Kitchen “boneless wings” followed by mussels steamed in ale and then a choice of a barbecue burger or veggie burger. Watermelon wheat loaf with fresh strawberries and vanilla ice cream rounds out the evening. Holy Mackerel’s founder and brewer Bob Gordash will serve Special Golden Ale, Panic Attack and Mack In Black.
Each dinner is $35, which includes tax and tip. Attend both dinners for $60 per person.
