Zagat usually focuses its survey on the kind of white-tablecloth restaurants most of us reserve for special occasions.

But today, Zagat released the results of its first-ever fast food survey of 274 restaurant chains.

More than 10,500 diners weighed in everything from burgers and fries to fried chicken and chicken wings. The folks surveyed were true fast food fiends, eating at chain restaurant more than nine times per month.

Best food at mega chains (more than 5,000 U.S. locations): Wendy’s, Subway, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell and Burger King

Best food at large chains (up to 5,000 U.S. locations): In-N-Out Burger, Papa Murphys, Chipotle, Panera Bread, Bojangles’

Best burger: Five Guys

Best fried chicken: KFC

Best french fries: McDonald’s

Best milkshakes: Steak ‘n Shake

Best wings: Buffalo Wild Wings

Best healthy options: Panera Bread

Best coffee: Starbucks

Best breakfast sandwiches: McDonald's
