Like the name suggests, Kapow! Noodle Bar packs a punch with its flavorful bites and cocktails.
With its open kitchen and half-indoor-half-outdoor bar, there's a constant flow of good food, drinks and vibes at the Asian-inspired restaurant and bar in Boca Raton's Mizner Park. Every weekday from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., there are drink specials. From 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., discounted bar bites are available.
Select craft beers, wines and single-liquor cocktails are discounted during happy hour. Draft beers are $5, and are rotated almost daily, with choices like Oakland Park's Funky Buddha Brewery to Magic Hat Brewing Company or Harpoon Brewery.
Wines by the glass are $5 during happy hour. There's a wide selection of reds and whites, including four options of pinot noir to five cabernets, while there are just as many sauvignon blancs and chardonnays, among others. Regularly, wines by-the-glass cost between $8 to $14.
Single-liquor cocktails, such as rum and Coke or gin and tonic, are $5 during happy hour.
The bar bites menu offers small bites such as steamed vegetable dumplings ($4), pulled pork steamed buns ($4), Szechuan tempura shrimp ($4) and soy caramel-glaze spare ribs ($6). The hoisin duck steamed bun ($5), with tender duck confit, hoisin glaze and spicy Asian pear slaw, is an explosion of flavor.
Kapow! Noodle Bar's specialty cocktails are appealing even though they're not discounted during happy hour. The most popular drinks are the Two for Tea, Dragon's Tail and Seoul Sunshine. Bulldog Gin combined with Koval Chrysanthemum Honey Liquer make up the Two For Tea, along with canton ginger, lime and tea-infused Dry Vermouth. The Dragon's Tail is a darker drink, with Bulleit Bourbon, tamarind, Longan Honey, lapsang souchong and lime, while Seoul Sunshine is served with Tyku Sojo, Espolon Tequila Blanco, canton ginger, fig jam, lemon and soda. Most cocktails are $12.
Happy hour: Monday-Friday 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. for drinks, 4-7 p.m. for bar bites
