The owners of this dual-cuisine eatery are finalizing their menu after opening in May in the former Tokyo restaurant.

"We serve crave-able dishes that meet the big, bold flavors of both Latin America and the Far East," says Salvadoran native Cristina Ardon, co-owner with Rudi Lopez, who grew up in Mexico. "Japanese has been my favorite food since I was a little girl, so it's been my dream to open a Japanese restaurant."

They retained Tokyo's sushi menu and introduced some Mexican dishes from their nearby 7-year-old El Guanaco Taqueria Y Antojitos. Now they're rounding out selections, including fusions of the two, such as the spicy tuna burrito ($12), ceviche tostadas ($12), shrimp tempura tacos ($12) and the Mar Y Tierra roll with steak and shrimp ($14).

Ardon's new favorites on the extensive menu are fried oysters ($8), pork belly ramen ($13), spicy Viva Tokyo roll with tuna and tempura shrimp ($13) and crab-shrimp burrito ($19).

Other additions are saketinis ($5-$7), such as margarita or cosmopolitan, mochi ice cream ($5) and tempura fried ice cream ($6).

Lunch is served weekdays and dinner nightly. All-you-can-eat Taco Tuesdays for $12.99 and two-for-one drinks until 10 p.m. kicked off this fall.
