For an extra punch for lunch or dinner, head to this new fight-themed sports bar in the former Wings Plus in Catalina Centre embellished with cage fencing, memorabilia, waitresses dressed like ring card girls and air-brushed murals of fighters. Televisions show fights and sports games.
"Being a longtime professional fighter and fan of the sport, I wanted to capture the energy of being at a live fight and bring it into a restaurant setting. This is for anyone who is a fan of mixed martial arts/UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship)," says founder Bruce Thomas Bellocchi.
Menu items are named after fighting terms and nicknames. Favorites are Ax Murderer buffalo shrimp in your choice of wing sauce ($8.99), Rowdy fish tacos with grilled mahi mahi ($12.95) and steaks, including The Dominator filet mignon ($17.99). Six burgers include the 3-pound Heavyweight Champion ($28.95) that is free if you can devour it in three minutes. A healthier section for lightweights include The Hammer chicken Caesar salad ($9.95).
Sidewalk seating is an option, and Friday nights feature live music.
"We also always have big-name appearances and popular MMA (mixed martial arts) fighters showing up, all based on relationships," Bellocchi says. "You never know who you will see."

This 30-year-old national chain based in Bradenton has unveiled its sixth South Florida location in the Mission Bay Plaza — the second in the Boca Raton area.
First Watch will serve its breakfast/lunch menu from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. daily amid an open kitchen design maximizing natural light. Perks will be fast service, free newspapers and Wi-Fi access.
"We have gained a strong, loyal customer base in the Boca community over the past five years and are excited to grow our presence there and bring our unique breakfast, brunch and lunch offerings to even more of its residents," chief marketing officer Chris Tomasso said in a press release.
The restaurant will offer traditional favorites, including pancakes such as banana granola crunch (from $3.69 for one to $5.99 for three), omelets ($8.29 to $8.99), egg skillet hashes ($8.79 to $8.99), salads ($7.89 to $8.29) and sandwiches ($7.59 to $8.99), as well as signatures such as turkey crepeggs ($8.29 to $8.99) and the chickichanga, a tortilla filled with eggs, spicy chicken, chorizo, chilies, cheese, onions and avocado with Vera Cruz sauce and fresh fruit ($8.99).
The Healthier Side section highlights nine items, such as fresh fruit crepes topped with strawberry yogurt ($7.59) and the sun-dried tomato-basil power wrap with egg whites, turkey, spinach, mushrooms and Swiss with salsa ($7.99).
Up next: The other Boca Raton branch that opened at 21210 St. Andrews Blvd. five years ago will move a few doors down in Boca Village Square at the end of July to expand and acquire a patio.
