Top wings in South Florida
By John Tanasychuk, SouthFlorida.com
One of these years, the National Football League will realize that Super Bowl Sunday is really Chicken Wing Sunday.
This year, 1.25 billion chicken wings will be consumed on that day, according to the National Chicken Council. Nearly two-thirds (65 percent) of those wings will be prepared Buffalo-style. Most (75 percent) will come from restaurants, and ranch dressing is the preferred (51 percent) dipping sauce.
The popularity of wings has fueled an avalanche of wing providers, with pizzerias, barbecues and bars getting into the business. Here are seven spots that should satisfy everyone's wing needs.

One bite into the fresh, never-frozen, meaty, oversized wings served here, and you'll know why readers of the Sun Sentinel voted it the best wing joint in South Florida a few years ago. Buffalo remains the top seller, but Wings Plus also does a hot and sweet wing called Key West, Jamaican Jerk and Thai Chili.
