Chef Bobby Flay to open in South Florida

Chef Bobby Flay will open the first Florida location of his Bobby’s Burger Palace (BBP) this fall.

Unfortunately, it will mean driving south to Miami's Dadeland Mall, which is in the middle of adding a new two-story wing.

Flay opened his first BBP in 2008 in Long Island. There are now locations New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C.

BBP is a fast casual restaurant where you order form a counter. But food is brought to the table and tables are cleared.

The signature burger is the Crunchburger, which has American cheese and potato chips. Those chips can be added to any burger at no extra cost by asking that your burger be “crunchified.”

The menu features 10 burgers inspired by Flay’s travels across the country. They’re made with Angus  beef, ground turkey or chicken breast. Topless burgers are served on a bed of greens without the bun.
