A brother and sister have opened a second location of their Chinese eatery in Riverland Center, joining the 16-year-old original at 1122 W. Broward Blvd.
Both are mostly takeout, with three tables inside the new location and two on the sidewalk for a limited dine-in menu.
“I had just made the decision to open a second location for the family restaurant when I became aware of the Walmart opening on Broward Boulevard,” says Will Chen, co-owner with Linda Chen, who are from Southern China. “It seemed like an amazing opportunity, and with the plans for the other businesses in the area, it became one I could not pass up. Being part of the building process in its infancy, unlike with our historical site, means this new location has become a passion project for me.”
Jalapeno chicken with onions and bell peppers is a recipe from their father’s family ($9.50). Other highlights are crab Rangoon ($5.95), chicken or pork dumplings, steamed or pan-fried ($6.25), house special fried rice with pork, chicken, shrimp, ham and vegetables ($5.75, $8.15, $15.25), Mongolian beef ($9.95), Hunan shrimp with veggies ($10.05) and General Tso's chicken with broccoli ($11.25).
Lunch and dinner are served daily.
